Use tags to organise your stock

Tags are labels you attach to stock items. They are organised into tag groups, such as Colour, Material or Supplier.

Create a group and its tags

1. Open Tags and choose to add a tag group, for example "Colour".
2. Add tags to the group, for example Red, Blue and Green.

Group names help you find tags in the picker. Free accounts can have 20 groups with up to 30 tags each; paid plans have 50 groups with up to 100.

Tag an item

In the stock item form, use Tags (one per category) to choose tags. An item can have one tag from each group - one colour, one material and so on.

Find items with tags

On Stock Items, filter by tags to narrow the list immediately.

Edit and delete

• Rename a group with its edit button.
• Deleting a group deletes every tag in it, so you will be asked to confirm.

Tags or item types?

• Use tags for loose labelling such as colour or supplier.
• Use item types when you want to record measurable details, like a resistor's resistance or a screw's length. See Item types and spec fields.
