Scan: look up and move stock with your phone
Use your phone camera to scan item and location QR codes and see what stock is where.
Scan is the handheld companion to Inventory, built for the warehouse or workshop floor. Open it at scan.tinkari.com and sign in with your Tinkari account. Anyone with Inventory access can use it - there is nothing extra to set up.
Install it
Scan works best from your home screen. See Install Bench and Scan on your phone.
Scan a code
- Open Scan. The camera starts automatically (allow camera access if asked).
- Point it at a QR label on an item or a storage location.
- The matching item or location opens.
If the code isn't recognised you see Barcode not found in your inventory. Print labels from Inventory. See Print QR codes for items and locations.
Find a location without scanning
Use Search locations and start typing the name.
What you see
- A location shows the locations inside it and the stock held there. Drill down through the structure.
- An item shows its quantity at every location, and a Low stock tag if it is running short.
From either screen, choose Adjust or move stock to make a change. See Move and adjust stock with Scan.
No signal?
Scan shows a banner when you are offline and tells a lost connection apart from a server problem, so you know whether to retry or move closer to wifi.
