Sales orders, pick lists and invoicing
Raise a sales order, print a pick list, take stock off and create the invoice in CRM.
Sales is where stock leaves your business. A sales order takes stock off the shelf and creates an invoice in CRM. It needs a paid plan.
Create a sales order
- Open Sales and choose to start a New Sale.
- Choose the Customer. Customers come from CRM.
- Set the Date and add a Reference or Notes if you want.
- Add lines with Add Stock Item or Add Free Text for things that aren't stock, like labour. Set the quantity and price for each.
Choose how to finish
- Save as Pick List - locks the order and creates a pick list to print. You can then confirm what was picked or invoice straight away.
- Invoice Now (Auto-allocate) - allocates stock from available locations automatically, reduces it and creates the invoice in CRM in one step.
For a pick list order you can also:
- use Allocate locations on each line to choose where each item is picked from
- print the Pick List or Packing Note
- Confirm Picked (Reduce Stock) once the items are collected, invoicing later
- Invoice Now to reduce stock and create the invoice
Order statuses
Draft, Pick List, Confirmed (Picked), Invoiced, Paid and Cancelled.
Picking on your phone
Open orders in the Pick List status appear in Scan, where you can tick lines off as you pick. See Work through pick lists in Scan.
Discarding an order
Only a Draft order can be deleted - use Discard. Once it has been saved as a pick list or invoiced it is kept for your records.
Invoices in CRM
The invoice appears in CRM under Invoices, ready to send. See Create and send invoices in CRM.
