Move and adjust stock with Scan
Scan an item and a location to move stock or correct a count - and every change is recorded.
Scan makes moving and counting stock quick enough to do as you walk round.
Start from an item or location
Scan an item (or a location) and choose Adjust or move stock. If you start from a location, pick the item you want.
Move stock to another location
- Choose Move to another location.
- Pick Where is this stock? - the location the stock is in now.
- Choose the Destination location. You can scan its QR code or search for it.
- Enter the Quantity to move.
- Confirm.
Adjust a count
- Choose Adjust quantity here.
- Enter the Quantity change. Use a negative number to remove stock, for example -3.
- Confirm the adjustment.
Behind the scenes
Changes are written straight to Inventory and recorded in Transactions, with your name and the time. See Transactions: the full stock history.
If something goes wrong
- Messages tell you if a quantity is missing, a destination hasn't been chosen, or the locations are the same.
- If you have no item selected, go back and scan an item or location first.
